Fashion certainly is a fickle beast, isn’t she? Stefano Pilati waves farewell to the house of Yves Saint Laurent.
My biggest pet peeve about MOST vary cool and fashion statement dresses is, you can almost NEVER wear a bra with them! Some male fashion designers just do not think about can you wear a bra with it while designing. Though granted when you have a good idea the just over flows you don’t necessarily think about those sort of things. But if you’re just sitting there thinking, ‘I want to design something but I don’t really know what at the moment.’ Then some how factoring a bra in the mix or making sure you can wear one with it should go in the mix.
I have to say though some or the ‘no bra dresses’ were VARY GOOD ideas and I would be really OK with wearing them a few times. But I could not wear it to often due to the fact not wearing a bra is also one of my smaller pet peeves.
It is not only these small little details that get to me because I could rant about things that bother me so much more then this. It’s the MAJOR fashion disaster that could happen while wearing it to say a formal party. Now if there is one thing that bug me the most about ‘no bra dresses’ IT IS THIS! You will just be standing/walking/sitting, what have you and you will notice a breeze. If its cold you will immediately look and see why the heck you are so cold a place you should not be cold. But say it is a normal breeze you will think that the breeze most have just gone though the cloth (if it is thin.) But lucky you! You were not so lucky but part of you (that should never be exposed) is!
So you have two real options at this point.
1. Casually cover your self back up. (Witch seems to be the most used and better option in my opinion) but that does not mean it doesn’t have any cons. Some you easily be distracted when you move your hand and look while you are not quite covered fully yet. Witch comes with some embarrassment.
Or number two. Decide to separate yourself from what ever you are doing and use the restroom. Once done without really being noticed by any one and successfully in the restroom, you could either fix it rather quickly or as my mother always used to tell me, bring double sided type. Though there seems to be some problems with this method as well you could vary well have type with to much adhesive and ruin your dress never to be warn again. Now none of us ever want that. But you also have a problem with if it doesn’t have ENOUGH adhesive. Yes, I know it’s bad turn out either because without enough it comes undone with oil of your skin (witch even if you have dry skin it will come of) and then you end up repeat your mistake and either have to keep redoing it and have a higher chance of getting noticed.
So either way there are cons no fix is ever going to be perfect unfortunately the world does not want to work that way. Therefore leaving us all disappointed and vary upset.
